Ingredients
¾cupof warm milk
2tablespoonsof granulated sugar
2 ½teaspoonsof active dry yeast
1egg
3tablespoonsof buttermelted
2tablespoonsof dry milk powder
1teaspoonof salt
2 ½-3cupsof bread flour
Instructions
Whisk the milk, sugar and yeast together in a large bowl then let it sit for 10 minutes or until it starts to get frothy.
Stir in the egg, butter, milk powder and salt then add 2 ½ cups of flour, ½ cup at a time, stirring between each addition until you can no longer stir.
Lightly flour a countertop then turn the dough out on it and knead for 10 minutes, adding a dust of flour when it gets too sticky to handle, but don’t add too much or the buns will be stiff.
Scrape out any remaining dough from the mixing bowl and lightly spray it with non-stick spray.
Form the dough into a ball then place it back in the bowl and cover with a towel.
Let it rise for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
Spray a 9-inch round baking pan or an 8x8 inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
Form the dough into 9 equal balls and cover with a towel to rise for 30 more minutes or until they have doubled in size.
About 10 minutes before the buns are ready to bake, preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the buns turn a light brown color on top.
Let them rest for 10 minutes before brushing the tops with milk and serving with butter if desired.
