  • 1 lb hamburger 90/10
  • 1/2 yellow onion diced
  • 3-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 16 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 C spinach chopped
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 1/2 C Tomato Sauce
  • 1/4 c water
  • 2 tbsp dried basil if using fresh use less


  • Brown hamburger and onion.
  • Add in garlic, diced tomatoes and spinach.
  • Mix in tomato sauce, water, sugar and basil.
  • *If you like for your spaghetti sauce to be a bit more runnier {is that even a word?!?} add a 1/3 of a cup of water at a time until you get the consistency that you desire.
  • **If you like a thicker spaghetti sauce add a bit more tomato sauce or even a tablespoon of tomato paste to thicken it up.
