Semi Homemade Cinnamon Coffee Cake Recipe

- Yellow or White Cake Mix made according to directions on box
Cinnamon Filling Layer
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter softened
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 c flour
- 1 c brown sugar
The Crumb Topping
- 2 c flour
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2/3 c sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp cinnamon
Make your cake mix according to directions.
In a separate bowl combine your cinnamon filling layer ingredients and mix until incorporated.
In a 9x13 baking dish, make sure it's thoroughly greased with butter or non-stick baking spray.
Add in half of your cake mix, spread evenly.
Place the cinnamon filling layer on top in a even layer.
Pour remaining cake mix over the top of the cinnamon layer.
Using a spoon, carefully spread evenly.
Place in over and bake according to directions on box. I baked mine for 23 minutes.
While cake is baking, make your crumb topping by placing all your ingredients into a bowl. I like to mix all the ingredients with a spoon and then bring in a fork or my hands to break up the butter!
Once cake is done baking, place crumb topping on in a even layer and place bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Slice with a sharp knife to get a nice even cut.
