Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Prep a muffin pan with pan spray.
Add 5 tater tots to each muffin cup. Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and use a small rolling pin end or cup small enough to fit into the muffin pan to press the tater tots into the muffin cup to form a cup. Bake for another 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and add about a tablespoon of cheese to each tater tot cup. Bake for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and tots are golden brown.
Transfer tots to a wire rack or platter. Top with bacon, sour cream and green onions. Enjoy!
