2Tablespoonsof butter
8cupsof Beef Brothwe recommend Organic broth
½cupof sweet red wine
3Tablespoonsof Worcestershire sauce
1Tablespoonof minced garlic
1teaspoonof coarse ground garlic salt
1teaspoonof seasoned pepper
French bread - cut into bite-size cubes
Sliced Swiss cheese
Instructions
Put the stainless steel Pot in the Instant Pot, and set the setting to 'Saute'.
Put the butter in the pot, and let it melt, and sprinkle with garlic salt and seasoned pepper.
Put the sliced onions in the pot, and Saute them until they're caramelized and golden in color, about 15 minutes.
Turn off the Saute setting, and pour in the Broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic.
Stir ingredients all together, scraping the bottom of the pot, to de-glaze the pot, getting that browned caramelized flavor into the soup.
Put the lid on the Instant Pot until it beeps and locks. Make sure the Valve is set to 'Sealing', and press the 'SOUP' setting.
Let the Instant Pot automatically build and release the pressure.
When the Soup is finished, the Pot will beep and go to KEEP WARM setting. Make sure the pressure Valve is down, and turn valve to venting, and open the lid to the Pot.
Stir soup to make sure all ingredients are well blended. Dish up soup into oven safe bowls, and put several cubes of the French bread on the top of the soup.
Place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the soup and place bowls on a cookie sheet and put in oven under broiler for approximately 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted, and golden brown.
Serve at once, and Enjoy!
