Peanut Butter Christmas Trees

Course Dessert
Servings 12

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • ¼ cup butter-melted
  • 2 TBSP. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 10-12 oz. melting chocolate or almond bark

Instructions

  • In a medium size mixing bowl mix together peanut butter, butter, vanilla, brown sugar, and salt until fully combined. Then slowly a little bit at a time, mix in powdered sugar.
  • Line 8 x 8 inch dish with parchment paper and press the peanut butter mixture into the dish. Smooth out the mixture with your hands or a spatula. Peanut butter layer should be around ½ inch thick.
  • Place dish into the freezer until firm enough for cutting.
  • Line a backing sheet with parchment paper and using a Christmas tree cookie cutter cut out trees and line them up on the tray.
  • Place into freezer for about an hour until completely firm.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate, using a fork, dip each tree into the melted chocolate and cover completely. Gently tap the fork on the sides of the bowl to allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Place chocolate dipped trees on the tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate until the chocolate has fully set.
  • These are best stored in the fridge or the freezer for long term storage.
  • Enjoy!
