Ever have those Reese’s peanut butter Christmas trees during the holidays!? Now you can make them at home and impress your family!
They are actually very easy to make and taste amazing!
Peanut Butter Christmas Trees
Servings 12
Ingredients
- 1 cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup butter-melted
- 2 TBSP. brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 10-12 oz. melting chocolate or almond bark
Instructions
- In a medium size mixing bowl mix together peanut butter, butter, vanilla, brown sugar, and salt until fully combined. Then slowly a little bit at a time, mix in powdered sugar.
- Line 8 x 8 inch dish with parchment paper and press the peanut butter mixture into the dish. Smooth out the mixture with your hands or a spatula. Peanut butter layer should be around ½ inch thick.
- Place dish into the freezer until firm enough for cutting.
- Line a backing sheet with parchment paper and using a Christmas tree cookie cutter cut out trees and line them up on the tray.
- Place into freezer for about an hour until completely firm.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate, using a fork, dip each tree into the melted chocolate and cover completely. Gently tap the fork on the sides of the bowl to allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place chocolate dipped trees on the tray lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate until the chocolate has fully set.
- These are best stored in the fridge or the freezer for long term storage.
