Whether you need a St. Patrick’s Day treat for a school class party or for a St. Patrick’s Day get together, these St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes are adorable. With fluffy clouds, a rainbow and a gold coin, who wouldn’t love these St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes?

Variations of St. Patrick’s Day Cupcakes

If you want to change these St. Patrick’s Day Cupcakes, consider:

  • Add food coloring. Since most people think about green foods when they think about St. Patrick’s Day, you could add green food coloring to the white cake mix. Be sure to cover the whole cupcake with the icing so that the green cupcake doesn’t show.
  • Add mint extract. Mint goes hand in hand with St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day Cupcakes

Ingredients:
  1. 1 box of White Cake Mix (plus ingredients needed)
  2. 1 container of White Icing
  3. Icing Piping Kit and Tip
  4. 1 package of Extreme Air Heads
  5. 1 bag of Mini Marshmallows
  6. 1 package of Golden Oreos
  7. Gold Mist Food Paint (found in the cake decorating section)
  8. Toothpicks
  9. Green Cupcake Liners
Directions:
  1. Start by preparing cupcake batter according to box instructions.
  2. Line a cupcake pan with green cupcake liners.
  3. Fill each one-half way with batter, and bake according to box instructions.
  4. Once baked, let cool completely.Cupcakes in green cupcake paper
  5. Fill a piping bag with white icing and add a piping tip.
  6. Starting in the middle of your cupcake work your way out and up with the icing.Ice the St. Patrick's Day cupcakes
  7. Next, take your Golden Oreos and paint each one with gold mist. Paint the Oreos with gold paint
  8. Place a toothpick through the center, once dried, and place towards the back of your cupcake.Add the oreo on top of the St. Patrick's Day cupcake
  9. Next, place toothpicks through 4 marshmallows, and place them on top of the cupcake as shown.Use marshmallows for clouds
  10. Take your Extreme Airheads and cut into â…“.
  11. Place two sections together and curve in between the marshmallow, to create a rainbow, as shown.Add a rainbow on the St. Patrick's Day Cupcake
  12. Serve and enjoy!
