When the girls are sick they ask for this Peppermint Green Tea. It’s a calm and warm way to feel better….even just for a little bit.
Yup! You can tell from the image that I jumped on the Essential Oil bandwagon…as much as it pained me to do so I was beginning to loose my sanity at the time. We had a bought with the stomach bug that went through the house, then two kids ended up with pnuemonia, another had a double ear infection and then we were lucky enough to have some stomach virus with both ends going at the same time. Everyone had it buy Beaniegirl….I’m thinking she paid the virusbugs off! She is usually the first one sick (school germies!) so I’m still pondering at the thought of how she escaped that week of hell….
Anyways.
When the girls are sick they ask for green tea. They will drink green tea daily if I let them, but, when they are sick for some reason that’s all they ask for. I brew a 8 oz. cup of water in my Kuerig and steep the bag of green tea for 5-10 minutes…or longer if I’m cleaning up a bodily fluid.
You didn’t see that coming, did you?!?
Once the tea has steeped I add a drop of Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil. Now if you use these oils you know that you best be paying attention because you’ll end up with another drop or two and you don’t want that…it’s WAY to strong and will burn your nose hairs as you are drinking the concoction…the girls call it magic potion 😉
I wish I could give you a little taste of even just smell of this stuff. But, nobody has been smart enough to event that yet so until then you’ve got to make this on your own.
If you don’t have Young Living Peppermint Essential oil you can also place a piece of peppermint candy in the tea and stir it around for a good bit.
In the instance you are on the bandwagon too you’ll want to make my Homemade Cleaner. It’s the most legit stuff you’ll ever use to clean up your house. It removes pretty much anything, smells amazing and doesn’t contain chemicals 😉
