This homemade all purpose cleaner with essential oils has none of the chemicals found in commercial cleaning products. It’s safe to use around pets and children and the reason why I haven’t bought the store bought cleaners in over 3 years!
Once I began my mission of living chemical free, I made two recipes religiously. One was a homemade all purpose cleaner and the other was a Hershey Syrup recipe that I’ve adapted and made into my own over time.
The homemade all purpose cleaner was simply water, vinegar and a drop of dish soap. While it seemed to work, my family was still sick, the house smelled of vinegar and would run the family out of the house!
All Purpose Cleaner with Essential Oils
Soon after, I began using essential oils. It was then that I realized I could add Thieves essential oil to kill the germs off in the house. Adding Lemon essential oil helps the house smell fresh and clean!
I will say that I haven’t been happier with a homemade all purpose cleaner than I am with a cleaner with essential oils. Sure when you clean with water it doesn’t leave streaks, but, I have kids and need germs to die!
WARNING: Because of the essential oils in this homemade all purpose cleaner, you will need to shake your bottle before each use. If not, it may result in streaking!
