DIY Pine Sol Recipe
If you want to save some money at home, try making pine sol in your kitchen! It’s super simple and is great for cleaning.
What ingredients do I need to make pine sol spray?
- Pine branches
- White Vinegar
Homemade Pine Sol
Ingredients
- Mason Jar mine was the larger size 32 oz.
- Pine branches I used some from the christmas tree before I recycled it, but you can use branches from a live tree
- 2.5 cups White Vinegar
- Pot
- Something to stir with
Instructions
There are 2 different ways that this can be made.
Option 1:
- You can put the pine branches in the mason jar and fill with white vinegar. Put the lid on and leave to sit for 3 weeks. Do not open until then. (I didn’t do this way as I didn’t want to wait that long but it is an option)
Option 2:
- Place the pine branches into a pot on the stove, add the white vinegar and let simmer on the stove for about 30 minutes. Let completely cool, remove the pine branches and pour into mason jar or spray bottle.
Notes
I tried this on my carpet where one of the dogs had peed, and it worked really well at cleaning it up and removing the smell.
