Switch up your Thanksgiving side dish/dessert by making these little sweet potato bites! The combination of the marshmallow and such is DEVINE! Make sure to also try our delicious sweet potato casserole too!
What ingredients do I need to make them?
- 2 sweet potatoes
- Pecan halves
- Marshmallows
- Unsalted butter melted
- Maple syrup
- Salt
Sweet Potato Bites

Ingredients
- 2 sweet potatoes about 1 lbs
- 8 pecan halves
- 4 medium-sized marshmallows
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Peel the sweet potatoes and cut each potato into 4 even slices.
- Place the sliced sweet potatoes in a bowl and cover with the melted butter. Add salt and stir until all of the potatoes are coated.
- Arrange the coated sweet potato slices in a single layer on a baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Flip the slices over and continue baking for 10 more minutes.
- Take the sweet potatoes out of the oven and turn on broil.
- Drizzle the maple syrup over the sweet potato slices.
- Cut the marshmallows in half and place them on top of the sweet potato slices.
- Roast the sweet potatoes with the marshmallows under the broiler for about 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
- Take the tray out of the oven as soon as the marshmallows are toasted and beginning to turn golden.
- Top each slice of sweet potato with a marshmallow and a half of a pecan.
- Serve while still warm and enjoy!
