Ingredients
Apple Filling
- 2 medium to large Apples peeled and diced
- ¼ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Topping
- ⅓ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Bread
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 ¾ cup Flour
- ¾ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- ½ cup Applesauce
Optional Icing
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons Milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉ and line a bread pan with parchment paper.
- Make the apple filling by adding your diced apples, ¼ cup brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to the medium bowl and stir well.
- Make the topping by adding the ⅓ cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to your small bowl and stir well, or whisk.
- Make the bread mixture by adding the apple cider vinegar to the milk, let sit for 5 minutes while you assemble and mix together the dry ingredients for the bread.
- Once the dry ingredients for the bread are mixed well and it had been 5 minutes since mixing the apple cider vinegar in with the milk, add the milk mixture and applesauce to the dry mixture and stir well.
- Pour about ⅔ of the bread mixture into your loaf pan, then add about ⅔ of your apple mixture on top of the bread mixture.
- Pour the rest of your bread mixture on top and spread to cover the apples, then add the rest of the apple mixture on top, then pour sprinkle the topping on evenly.
- Bake for at least 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out of the bread clean, or with a few dry crumbs, when testing if it is done.
- Cool in pan for at least 20 minutes before removing and allowing to finish cooling on a cooling rack. Wait until completely cool before slicing and enjoying.
Notes
If you would like to add an icing to the top of the bread, wait until the bread is completely cool, then mix together the powdered sugar and milk to make the icing. Pour over the bread, allow to set and then slice the bread.
