Tips/FAQ
• How to store aioli? Just like any homemade sauce, store it in a sealed airtight container in the
refrigerator for up to 10 days.
• You are probably asking why garlic paste. You can absolutely use garlic cloves if you would like but you will need to mince the garlic cloves into a paste form. This does take a little bit of time, so I just always use the paste which saves time.
Do I have to use fresh lemon juice?
• Fresh lemons are always recommended but you can use lemon juice if you would like.
• Do I use Mayonnaise or Mayo in Aioli sauce? For this, I suggest using mayonnaise, but I take it a step further and use olive oil mayonnaise. I love that they have more options now at the grocery store. Now you can add olive oil to the aioli but sometimes the olive oil tends to separate from the mayonnaise if it is not blended completely. Have you ever had an aioli where it is super runny? The olive oil has separated from the mayonnaise which is why it was added too quickly when it was being made. So, to avoid all of that I just get the olive oil mayonnaise to have a nice dip/spread.
How can you serve aioli or what can you use aioli on?
- Dips for French Fries, Sweet Potato Fries
- Dip for Vegetables
- Spread for Hamburgers
- Spread for Chicken Sandwiches
- Artichokes
There are so many different aioli flavors you can create. Garlic and lemon are the traditional
flavors, but you can add sriracha, honey, truffle, and even basil pesto to create many different
flavors.
