Strawberry Turkeys

Course Dessert
Servings 13 turkeys

Ingredients

  • 13-16 Strawberries
  • Stick pretzels
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Milk chocolate chips 11.5oz bag
  • White chocolate chips 11.5oz bag

Instructions

  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Snap the pretzel sticks in half. Cut each mini marshmallow in half diagonally so there is a flat spot to put against the strawberry. Stick the pretzel into the cut marshmallows.
  • Use a double boiler and melt the whole bag of milk chocolate chips with extra ½ cup white chocolate chips in a measuring cup or in the microwave at 20 sec intervals. (MAX for 1 minute total or chocolate will get ruined).
  • Dip just the flat edge of the marshmallow into the milk chocolate and put it on each side of the strawberries for the "legs." Set on parchment paper.
  • Put in fridge for 10 minutes until hardened. Stick a skewer through the top of the strawberry and dip the whole strawberry into the milk chocolate. Let excess drip off each one and set on parchment paper to cool.
  • Put in fridge for at least 30-60 minutes. Once that is hardened, you melt about ½ cup of white chocolate chips and dip just the ends of the pretzels for the feet.
  • Put in a fridge for 20 minutes and enjoy!

Notes

Depending on the size of your strawberries will determine how many the chocolate will cover. The bigger the strawberries, the less turkeys you will make. Store in fridge for up to 1 day.
