What ingredients are in tzatziki sauce?
- English cucumber
- Greek yogurt
- Fresh Dill
- Lemon juice
- Lemon zest optional
- Olive oil
- Garlic powder or 1 garlic clove
- Salt
- Red pepper flakes
NOTES:
- Serve with pita chips, cucumber, and peppersIt is also excellent to use as a condiment for Gyros, hamburgers, or a sandwich.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

- Make it spicy: Add more red pepper flakes, chopped jalapenos
- Make it Deluxe: Substitute the lemon juice and zest with a lemon vinaigrette and add Parmigiano cheese
Tzatziki Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded grated if you want smaller pieces English cucumber
- 1 ½ cups Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon fresh Dill
- ½ tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ tablespoon lemon zest optional
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder or 1 garlic clove, minced
- ¼ teaspoon salt you may add another ¼ teaspoon after the sauce has rested for 30 minutes
- ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Place the shredded cucumber on a paper towel to absorb excess water.
- In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, shredded cucumber, fresh Dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, garlic powder, salt and red pepper flakes.
- Mix until all ingredients are combined.
- Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
- After 30 minutes, taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning to your liking.
