What ingredients are in tzatziki sauce?

Tzatziki Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded grated if you want smaller pieces English cucumber
  • 1 ½ cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh Dill
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ tablespoon lemon zest optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder or 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt you may add another ¼ teaspoon after the sauce has rested for 30 minutes
  • teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Place the shredded cucumber on a paper towel to absorb excess water.
  • In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, shredded cucumber, fresh Dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, garlic powder, salt and red pepper flakes.
  • Mix until all ingredients are combined.
  • Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
  • After 30 minutes, taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning to your liking.
  • Serve and Enjoy!
