One of the places on my bucket list to visit is Italy {and Australia!}. Jason’s Aunt visited a few years ago and shared her excursions with us and it was stunning. The concept of family always around, good food, great wine, and dining al fresco just makes me want to hop a plane and go now! With Beanies getting older I think it’s SUPER important to install values, morales and traditions at an early age. She just turned 8 and I want her (and the littles) to have memories of their childhood that makes them smile and have good thoughts when she smells a particular scent, makes a family recipe or creates her own values in her children — WAY down the road!
I’ve brought the “Mangia” {to eat the Italian way!} experience to our dinner table every night for the past two years. Our tradition is to sit at the dining room table as a family, we talk about our day, sometimes we go around and say what was our best and worst part of the day, talk about what tomorrow is going to bring all while chowing down on delicious recipes that we create together. Now while I would like to say that I create every meal from scratch, it’s just not realistic for our lifestyle.
Over the past 8 weeks we have been getting by — at every single meal. My foot surgery has had me down and out of the kitchen during these past 10 weeks. As you can imagine I’m beginning to go CRAZY! It’s quick meals like Bertolli that has allowed me to be in the kitchen for 15-20 minutes, just enough to make dinner without being in pain! This has helped me to contribute to the meals at dinner time and contribute to the day a bit more. I’m sure my Husband thanks Bertolli as well 😉
On nights when I feel like preparing dinner, but, can’t be in the kitchen more then 15-20 minutes I reach for the Bertolli Classic Meals that are stashed away in the freezer. They are super quick & easy, ready in under 20 minutes and allows me to make a salad for the family and these little Garlic Knots. We both love Garlic and carbs…
Some of you may know that Jason and I enjoy frequenting Mom & Pop restaurants across the country! He is OBSESSED with this little hole in the wall pizza joint down the road called Ramundo’s. They have these “Ramundo Bites” that are to die for….really! Now they are typically ALWAYS closed when we are having the craving and these Garlic Knots will hit the spot until we can get the real deal. You see, if you aren’t a Garlic lover like we are then chances are you won’t like these. If that is the case just skip adding the garlic to the butter and carry on with the rest of the ingredients.
Now if you’ve had a day like I’ve had you’ll want a white wine to pair with the Garlic Knots, Salad with Garlic Expressions and Bertolli Classic Meal For 2 Chicken Florentine and Farafelle. It was honestly one of the most delicious dinners we’ve had in awhile and it took all of 20 minutes for it all to come together!
I would suggest purchasing two or three Bertolli Frozen meals to keep on hand for those nights where you are about to pull your hair out and just need to put something to eat on the table. Be sure to check out the entire line up of Bertolli Frozen Meals available at Kroger near you.

Yum! I LOVE garlic. The more, the better. I’ll have to try these garlic knots on our next Italian night! They look like they’d pair well with any of the Bertolli frozen meals. #client
