These Easter Brownies are a super simple way to bring a little playfulness to your Easter festivities. They’re a crowd-pleasing Easter dessert, affordable and super fun to make… and EAT!
It’s almost Easter! Are you ready?! I have been trying out so many Easter recipes in preparation for the big day to share with you! I have been having so much fun doing so because Easter recipes are my second-favorite holiday recipes of the entire year. (#1 is Mother’s Day!)
Yep, I like whipping up Easter recipes even more than Christmas recipes and Thanksgiving recipes. I think it’s because the weather is finally a bit warmer and I just feel so inspired and happy to be in the kitchen.
Also, chocolate. Easter recipes are full of chocolate… and you’ll never see me complaining about a super chocolatey recipe. Take these Easter Brownies. They’re a moist, fudgy brownie base (chocolate) topped with chocolate buttercream (more chocolate) and a layer of crushed Oreos (even more chocolate).
If that wasn’t enough to make you race to your kitchen to start making the Easter Brownies right away, they’re also topped with an adorable orange buttercream carrot.
Why these Easter Brownies are a must-make recipe
Let’s recap…
- Fudgy brownie base

They’re also easy and fun to make!
How to Make Easter Brownies Step by Step
If you haven’t already raced to the kitchen and jumped straight to the recipe card so you can make Easter Brownies, here’s a step-by-step tutorial:
Step #1: Line a square pan (9×9) with parchment paper with an overhang (for easy removal of brownies once baked) and set aside. Set oven to 350 degrees.
Step #2: In a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and chocolate chips. Once melted, add cocoa powder and salt. Stir.
Step #3: Add both sugars into your chocolate mixture and stir until completely melted. Add this mixture into a large bowl that contains your flour. Mix and add your eggs, one at a time.
Step #4: Pour batter into your lined pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until your Easter Brownies pass the toothpick test. Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes then remove from pan. Allow to cool completely before decorating.
Step #5: Once cooled, frost the top of the Easter Brownies with your chocolate buttercream. Add crushed Oreos. Cut into squares.
Step #6: Mix yellow and red food coloring for a deep orange color in about 1 ½ cups of your vanilla buttercream. Using a piping bag, pipe onto each Easter Brownie square so that it looks like the top of a carrot.
Step #7: Color the rest of your vanilla buttercream with green food coloring and pipe it on top of the orange buttercream to give it its final touch. Enjoy!
That’s it! Aren’t they adorable? I highly recommend making them this Easter along with a few other Easter treats like my Easter Bunny Cake and Easy Easter Cupcakes.
