Cook bacon perfectly with my tried and true method…
As a Mom to 3 young kids (7, 3 and 1) if I can find “cheat” to do something to make my life easier I’m all for it. For instance, instead of standing over the kitchen counter for 20 minutes picking at the egg shell of a hard boiled egg I’ve come up with my own method on How to Peel a Hard Boiled Egg.
If you follow me over on Instagram you may have seen this poor image below that I shared of this burnt bacon I only had 4 pieces left and the girls wanted it for breakfast one school morning. Running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off I ended up burning it and realized why I now cook my bacon in the oven.
I used the cast iron skillet for these 4 pieces of bacon. I set the temp to medium low, but, I was grabbing clothes for each child, pouring milk, checking homework, trying to drink my coffee so I could face the day and everything in between.
To cook bacon to perfection here’s what you need to do!
Preheat the oven to 350.
On a large cookie sheet lay down a sheet of aluminum foil.
Place bacon side by side and place in the oven.
Cook for 25-35 minutes until bacon is crisp and cooked evenly. If you want a crispier bacon leave them in a few minutes longer, less if you don’t want crisp.
Place on a plate with a few napkins to remove the bacon fat.
