Chocolate Chip Cookies Perfect for a Bride and Groom
Sometimes I get these crazy ideas, super late at night, while I’m laying in bed…TRYING to fall asleep. These Bride and Groom Cookies are one of those ideas!
This post is being compensated by Kroger. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I’m just a HUGE fan of ClickList. If you’ve been around the site you’ll know my LOVE for the service and wanted to share a personal experience with you first hand!
I don’t know what it is, but, I go through spurts. For a few weeks I’ll crave apple and carmel {like my Skillet Apple Crisp recipe}, other weeks I’ll crave these Chocolate Cookie Truffles and then all other times it’s Brownies for me. Which brings me to the question — what dessert do you crave often? Let me know by leaving a comment below!
Now when it comes to cookies, I don’t believe there is anything more comforting than a Chocolate Chip Cookie warm out of the oven with a glass of milk. Pure perfection! So on this particular day I went to make cookies for the kiddos, because we had a really long week, and wanted to surprise them with a treat. However, because of the business that occurred during the entire month I was running SUPER LOW on groceries. When I went to make the cookies I didn’t have enough morsels for a batch. So I told myself I’d go to the store in the morning and grab some chocolate chips.
With this whole foot thing (surgery and then dropping a stove on my foot!) it’s been a BATTLE getting to Kroger so going to the store…yeah, that never happened! It’s not that easy to get to Kroger as it was previous to the injury. I can’t just load all three kids up and shop like I use to. I have to plan it early, know I am having a good day to be able to walk the entire store and not to mention wrangle the kiddos {we know what a chore that is in itself!}.
When I first had surgery I couldn’t walk for 8 weeks. So I rode around on a electric cart thing and was pretty embarrassed. I was constantly getting gawked at…I began to think the people thought I was WAY to young to be on one of those units! But, it’s what saved my family from eating out every.single.night!
As a Busy Mom (who recently had foot surgery and couldn’t walk for 8 weeks) Clicklist was a lifesaver for my family and I. If I need ingredients quickly and have kids who are having a “off day” all I do is order what I need for my recipe and pick it up at the time that is convenient for me.
Now if we could work on the unloading and putting away 😉
Anyhow.
Standing in the kitchen the next day I needed to make these cookies for the kids for me! That’s when it came to me. I had half a bag of chocolate chips and half a bag of white chocolate chips. So the light bulb lit and thought Bride and Groom Cookies! Simply mix the two bags of chips together and create a yummy cookie based off my cookie recipe!
Now if you know a bride and groom looking to get married I would LOVE for you to make these babies and give it to them on their special night. You could even print off the Recipe Card below and put it with the cookies so that they have it and can make them together! If you don’t know anyone getting married soon you can still make these cookies 😉 All it is is a name people!
I placed some cookies in our Cookie Jar and it filled up rather quickly. I wanted to also make some Ice Cream Sandwiches for the kiddos to enjoy and that’s where these Bride and Groom Ice Cream Sandwiches were born! And YES you can get ice cream from ClickList and it’s still firm when you get home 🙂
