FAQs

  • What is the best way to store leftovers?
    • The best way to store leftovers is in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • I only have whole pecans, can I use those?
    • Yes, that is fine, but you may want to chop them before adding to the sugar mixture on the stove.
  • How thick should the pecan mixture get on the stove?
    • It should get to a thick syrup consistency, almost as thick as corn syrup, but not as thick, it may still drizzle, and will need to set on the dip in the fridge to stop it from dripping or spreading out further.
  • Is it alright if the butter and sugar mixture boil on the stove?
    • Yes, this will not ruin it, but if you do notice it starting to boil, be sure to lower the heat and continue stirring constantly.
  • How big of a serving dish do I need for this?
    • The serving dish in the photos is almost 6 inches in diameter and there was some dip that did not fit in the dish. To fit all of the dip, use a dish that fits close to 3 ½ cups.
