Steak Fajitas in the Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker are not only made in one pot, but, will leave your food tasting even better!

So I keep hearing from my friends that the reason that they don’t cook is because they hate the cleanup process. If you are new to MHR, I suggest you head over and grab my Kitchen Rules Printable. It’s FREE and states “If I cook it, YOU clean it!”. That’s the rule in our house! Now my friends are all like “well you stay home all day, so you have time to cook and clean”. Well, while they are right about be staying home with the children, it’s anything BUT a break! I would <3 to cook dinner without children begging for my attention, at my feet or asking if they can come into the kitchen! The other night the kids were driving me BATTY! So much so, that I ended up burning noodles that I was making for my TGI Friday’s Cajun Chicken Pasta Copycat Recipe. I mean, who does that?!?

Anywayz…

I started thinking along the lines of “how can I solve my friends problem of cleaning?”. Well, I came up with three answers. 1. The Insta-Pot {which I’m deathly afraid of and WILL NOT use…you can read more about that here.} 2.  Utilize Crock-Pot recipes more… 3. Use the Deep Covered Baker from Pampered Chef {affiliate link – that means if you purchase I make a % of the sale. In that case, THANK YOU for your support!}

For me, I love the Crock-Pot. However, my mornings are CRAY CRAY! Like, seriously. I can have my Meal Planner all written out. But, if I don’t have the ten minutes or so to throw the items in…yet alone REMEMBER…it doesn’t get done. However, now that I have my very own Deep Covered Baker, I seriously can’t get enough of it! It holds 12 ½ cups, can cook an entire chicken in just 30 minutes (without drying it out) and the DCB is part of the popular stoneware line from Pampered Chef. The stoneware draws moisture away from the food leaving it tender and juicy. The ONLY downfall to the Deep Covered Baker is that it is hand wash only…but, it is made in the USA so I just think of the jobs that I’m supporting when I am washing all of my stoneware!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. steak stir fry
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • Pampered Chef Garlic & Herb Rub
  • Cayenne Pepper, to taste
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Tortilla
  • Favorite Fajita Toppings

In the Deep Covered Baker place a drizzle of olive oil to coat peppers, toss. Add in steak and seasoning. Place in preheated 350 degree oven and cook for 20-25 minutes until steak is cooked through and onions and peppers are soft. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Weight Watchers FreeStyle Plan: 4 SmartPoints per serving of just meat/vegetable. Add points for tortilla and toppings.
