One of my all-time favorite parts of the cold and winter weather is making a huge pot of my Hot Chocolate Mix to warm everyone right up! After dozens attempts, I’ve finally concocted the perfect mix with staples I keep in the kitchen!
It wasn’t until I was planning out the second half of my 2018 Content Calendar that I realized, I have never shared my Hot Chocolate Mix recipe with you! I don’t know why, because all of our friends and family who have ever tried it ask me for the recipe before their second sip!
This Hot Chocolate Mix results in a thick and rich Hot Chocolate and it doesn’t contain powdered milk! I mean, does anyone actually keep that stuff on hand? I know I don’t!
Hot Chocolate Mix Ingredients
- 4 Cups Milk

- ¼ C Cocoa Powder
- 1 C Semi Sweet Morsels

How Do You Make Hot Chocolate Richer?
While some may tell you the secret is powdered milk, I just don’t believe that! My secret to a rich hot chocolate flavor is good semi-sweet morsels! Melting them into the milk creates a thick and rich hot chocolate. Mix in the warmth of cinnamon and vanilla and it just can’t go wrong!
How Do You Make Dry Hot Chocolate Mix To Give to Someone?

Then print out the gift tag below that tells the lucky recipient to add 4 cups of milk and 1 tsp of vanilla extract! Tie the tag to the jar and you’ve got a lovely gift!
