You saw the image and you decided that the children in your life would LOVE LOVE LOVE this Kermit the Frog Apple and Peanut Butter snack, right?!? Well first let me tell you that it’s super simple to make. Secondly, I’m willing to bet you have everything you need, with the exception of the edible marker, in your pantry. Now while you don’t necessarily need the Wilton Edible Marker it does add a bit of playfulness and completes the piece. {I ordered mine on Amazon for just a few bucks because it would take me a week to get to Michaels and I get my order a lot faster than that, usually in two days!}
Whether you are making this apple snack for a quick afternoon snack, a bite to eat in between school and practice or for a fun party I’m sure the children in your life will love it and talk about it for weeks to come!
Ingredients
-
- 1 Green apple
-
- 1 Red apple
-
- 1 large marshmallow
-
- ½ cup of peanut butter
Alright so I often make these for birthday parties or when I need to get my kids to have fun with their food. They don’t really have a problem eating their fruits and vegetables, but, as a child it’s important to have them excited about healthy eating and this is one way I do just that in my house. As Beanies is getting a bit older she’s even slicing and dicing her own fruit for her Famous Fruit Salad {recipe coming soon}.
Let’s get you started creating your own Kermit the Frog!
