These Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers need to make an appearance at your next party! Filled with cream cheese and bacon, you control the spiciness by removing some or all of the seeds and pith. Watch our Tasty-style recipe video below to see how easy this recipe is to make!
My version of the Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers recipe is one of those recipes that I’ve been enjoying for so long, that I just can’t tell you where it came from, where I ate it at first or even how long I’ve been making the recipe!
I use to make them all the time at the other house. Somewhere along the way, my Popper Stand disappeared and I didn’t make them for at least two years. BUT, I found this Char-Broil Pepper Roaster on Amazon and grabbed it before I’d forget to get it again!
Now I want to give you a little piece of advice. As many times as I have made these they have never been the same. Meaning that some peppers are hotter than others. I will also tell you that if you don’t want any heat at all to de-seed and de-stem the inside of the pepper so that there is nothing white left on the inside of the pepper. Also, at the VERY bottom of the pepper is the pith which contains heat too. Now if you don’t mind a little bit of heat you can leave some of that in!
how to clean jalapenos
Tip: If you want a little heat, slice the jalapenos open, lengthwise. You’ll see a white skin running alongside the vein of the jalapeno that also is home to the seeds. At the bottom of the jalapeno is called the “pith”. That is the hottest part of the jalapeno.
When it comes to cleaning the jalapeno, I use a spoon to clean out all the seeds and the pith. This is how my kids eat them, as they have no to very little heat.
The hubby will eat them any way I make them. Me on the other hand, I don’t like to sweat!

You know that heat when you are eating and your nose begins to sweat. Yeah, I don’t get down with that kinda heat!
I also want to highlight the fact that there’s BACON in the recipe. Because who doesn’t love bacon?
Let’s have a moment for bacon and pigs!
Variations of this stuffed jalapeno peppers appetizer
No, but seriously, another option that you can add to these Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers is to add half a Slim Jim beef stick to the inside of the jalapeno before you stuff it with cream cheese bacon mixture. That does add a little heat back in and how I prefer to eat these Bacon Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers. Hubby doesn’t really like the Slim Jim and I just happened to surprise him with these a few days after he had oral surgery and was on a soft food diet!
I know what you’re thinking….damn, he’s got a great Wife! You’re right I’m lucky!
