I love shredded chicken. It can be served so many ways. I have to say that one of my favorites will always be Crock-Pot Shredded Barbecue Chicken. It goes with so many things. Some of my favorite recipes are:

Variations to Barbecue Chicken
Barbecue Chicken might seem like there is no way to change it up, but of course there is.

- Tang – While there seems to be two types of BBQ sauce, one is the classic and the other is tangy with a vinegar base, why not have both. Use a classic BBQ sauce and add a little vinegar.

- mustard powder
- chili powder
- cumin
- onion powder
- black pepper
- garlic powder
- paprika
- cayenne pepper
- boneless, skinless chicken breast
- BBQ sauce
How to Make Barbecue Chicken
In a small bowl, combine the salt, mustard powder, chili powder, cumin, onion powder, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir to mix and set aside. Place the chicken breasts in the greased bowl of your slow cooker. Cover each chicken breast liberally with the seasoning mix.

Cook the chicken breasts on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours. When chicken is cooked through, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

Crock-Pot Shredded Barbecue Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon mustard powder
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Pinch of cayenne pepper to taste
- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1 bottle BBQ sauce
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the salt, mustard powder, chili powder, cumin, onion powder, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir to mix and set aside.
- Place the chicken breasts in the greased bowl of your slow cooker.
