Crockpot Bacon Wrapped Smokies
How to Make Bacon Wrapped Brown Sugar Smokies
If you want to impress your guests for a party, make these delicious bacon wrapped smokies in the slow cooker! They are so simple and people can just grab a toothpick out of the crockpot all day! If you want a little less prep work, try our other crockpot little smokies recipe or try making bacon wrapped smokies in the oven, too!
To make these mouthwatering bacon-wrapped sausages, you’ll need a few simple ingredients. Start with 12 ounces of “Lil” Smokies cocktail sausages – those bite-sized cuties are perfect for snacking. Next, grab 12 ounces of bacon. You’ll also need brown sugar, paprika, and some toothpicks to secure those bacon wraps in place. That’s it!
First, chop each slice of bacon into three pieces – because, let’s be real, everything’s better with more bacon! Now, wrap a piece of bacon around each sausage, securing it with a toothpick. It’s like a little bacon hug for your sausage!
In a separate bowl, mix together some brown sugar and paprika – the magic that’ll make these sausages irresistible! Sprinkle about a cup of that brown sugar mixture into the bottom of your slow cooker. Then, add your bacon-wrapped sausages on top.
Finally, sprinkle the remaining brown sugar mixture over the sausages because, why not? Cover that slow cooker and let it do its magic on high for three hours. Feel free to move the sausages around halfway through to get that perfect browned exterior. And that’s it! Remove those gorgeous sausages from the slow cooker and serve ’em up. Your taste buds (and your guests) will thank you!
You could also take them out of the crockpot and put them on a platter to serve.
