Garlic lime shrimp is an easy shrimp dinner recipe that comes together with just a few simple ingredients, and in under 20 minutes!
I will admit, I don’t make a lot of shrimp in my house. Nobody really eats it except for me. So when we go out to eat {with NO kids!} I often go for something spicy, or shrimp!
I’m in the kitchen all the time whipping up recipes for my own family and making everything so it pleases everyone. While the Hubby and children eat pretty much everything I create, there are times when they turn their heads and ask for something a bit different.
Like for instance my TGI Friday’s Cajun Chicken Pasta. I set aside chicken for them that just has salt, pepper and garlic powder on it. Then, once their plates are made with the noodles, I add in the rest of the seasonings to make ours a bit spicier. Now while Jason could actually eat things WAY hotter than I can, he’s on his own for adding his heat…

Ingredients in Garlic Lime Shrimp
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 2 lbs of peeled shrimp
- 1 lime
- ¼ tsp paprika, sea salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and a ginger
- 3 large mashed cloves of garlic

Now that you have the shrimp recipe you can place it over rice, mix in with veggies and make a stir fry or just pop while watching your favorite movie or a big game. I can’t wait to try this Garlic Lime Shrimp Recipe in my own kitchen….I got the kids to eat salmon {which I NEVER thought would happen, so maybe they’ll warm up to shrimp!}

Garlic lime shrimp
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 2 lbs of peeled shrimp
- 1 lime
- ¼ tsp paprika sea salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and a ginger
- 3 large mashed cloves of garlic
Instructions
- Peel, rinse, and pat dry your shrimp
- Heat butter and garlic in a skillet. Saute until golden brown.
- Mix together the spices in a bowl and coat the shrimp.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes or until shrimp is slightly seared a golden brown and liquid is mostly gone.
