Strawberry Smoothie Recipe + Video

This Strawberry Smoothie recipe is one that your entire family will LOVE! It’s refined sugar-free, sweetened with honey, and packed with fresh strawberries. Sweet but healthy!

Previous to my love for Shakeology {like before I even knew it existed} I was creating smoothies in my kitchen with a $10 blender…seriously, I still do! This Strawberry Smoothie Recipe is a go-to for the kiddos when they are wanting a “slushie”.

Kid-Friendly Strawberry Smoothies

Yeah, it’s true! My kids call things these strawberry smoothies shakes because they are kids and don’t know any better. I mean if they want to think that it’s ice cream laced with a shit ton of sugar, then whatever because they drink this and that makes Momma happy!

When I first started becoming the Mom who doesn’t allow Cheetos in my house {ok every NOW and then they can be kids and eat this, but, it’s not an everyday thing!} I realized that all the fruits they enjoyed were limited. I slowly started introducing grapes and bananas to which the TT girl will eat, but, Beanies won’t. I can give Bubby anything and the kid will eat it. In fact, I was even surprised he ate green peppers! He is for sure going to be my good eater!

So this summer I made a lot of this strawberry smoothie recipe to get some fruits into Beanies. At first, she scrunched her nose and thought she knew best and she didn’t even want to try it. After her little sister mentioned “Ice Cream!” she was all in!

So the way that I got the kiddos excited about this strawberry smoothie recipe is to freeze it for about an hour or so. It thickens the smoothie to the consistency of a shake. Now they LOVE it and ask for it about once a week!

Strawberry Smoothie Recipe Ingredients

NOTE: To keep this strawberry smoothie recipe refined sugar-free, you’ll need to omit the chocolate syrup.

Ingredients

  • 2 TBSP Orange Juice
  • 2 TBSP Almond Milk
  • 1 TBSP Raw Honey
  • 2 TBSP Peanut Butter
  • 1 tsp Chocolate Syrup
  • ½ C Greek Yogurt
  • 6-8 strawberries hulled

Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

This Strawberry Smoothie recipe is one that your entire family will LOVE! It's refined sugar-free, sweetened with honey, and packed with fresh strawberries. Sweet but healthy!

Ingredients

  • 2 TBSP Orange Juice
  • 2 TBSP Almond Milk
  • 1 TBSP Raw Honey
  • 2 TBSP Peanut Butter
  • 1 tsp Chocolate Syrup
  • ½ cup Greek Yogurt
  • 6-8 strawberries hulled

Instructions

  • Add orange juice, milk, honey, peanut butter, chocolate syrup, yogurt, and strawberries into a blender.
  • Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes. This will be more of a thick consistency. If you want a thinner smoothie, add a tsp at a time of milk or orange juice.

Notes

To keep the strawberry smoothies refined sugar-free, omit the chocolate syrup.
