- How do I store these?
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 5-7 days. If your home is on the warmer side, you may want to store them in the fridge to keep the chocolate from melting.
- Do I have to use mini chocolate chips?
- Nope. I like to use mini chocolate chips because they’re smaller and melt faster. Regular chocolate chips work just fine for this recipe! You can also substitute dark chocolate chips or even white chocolate chips for this recipe.
4. Can I use pretzels instead of saltine crackers?
Absolutely! Just do a layer of pretzels on the bottom and top with the caramel sauce. They add a bit of saltiness to the sweetness so pretzel Christmas crack is also addicting!

Christmas Crack
Ingredients
- 35-40 saltine crackers usually about 1 sleeve
- 1 cup 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups mini milk chocolate chips
- 2-3 tablespoons Christmas sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.

- Next, in a small saucepan add the butter and brown sugar. Bring to a roaring boil and keep boiling for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the boiling sugar over the saltine crackers, coating completely.
- Bake the crackers for 5 minutes (the sugar mixture will be bubbling).
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the crackers and let melt for 5 minutes.
- Spread the chocolate evenly over the saltines and then top with your choice of Christmas sprinkles.
- Allow to cool completely, about 2 hours in the fridge, before breaking into pieces.
- Enjoy!
