One of my favorite easy dinners is this Korean ground beef recipe! It’s so flavorful and it’s a great way to use your ground beef other than spaghetti and tacos for once!

What ingredients do I need to make this dish?

  • Soy sauce
  • Light brown sugar
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Ground black pepper
  • Ginger
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder
  • Minced garlic
  • Ground beef

  • Green onions
  • Sesame seeds

  • SKILLS
    • Serve over cooked white rice. Add some chopped green onions or sesame seeds.Use leftovers: Tacos and quesadillas.
    • Storage: You can keep the Korean beef for almost 5 days in an airtight container in the fridge.
    • Re-warm: Use the microwave or it is excellent in a skillet or air fryer.
    • Have fun with the recipe:
      • Make it spicy: It already has a good spice. For more spice increase the red pepper flakes.
      • Make it kid-friendly: Omit the red pepper flakes and add some cheese.
      • Make it Deluxe: Add some onions when cooking the ground beef. Serve with fresh grated cheese.

Korean Ground Beef

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound ground beef

Toppings

  • Green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Mix the soy sauce, light brown sugar, red pepper flakes, ground black pepper, and ground ginger in a small bowl.
  • Place a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil, warm for 1 minute
  • Add in the garlic powder and minced garlic. Stir for 1 minute.
  • Add in the ground beef and cook completely.
  • Drain some of the fat off.
  • Reduce heat to low and add the soy mixture.
  • Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes until the ground beef is nice and coated.
  • Serve and Enjoy!
