Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels are a quick and easy snack recipe. Mouthwatering, crunchy cinnamon pretzels are ready in no time at all. They’re the perfect game day appetizers and a great DIY food gift that everyone will love! This post includes a step-by-step video.
Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels: A Delicious, Easy, and Budget-Friendly Snack
With the holidays I often find ways to not only make recipes healthier, but I also look for recipes that will feed a crowd on a VERY limited budget! Make sure to also try our garlic ranch pretzels too!
I subbed coconut oil for vegetable oil and I must say this cinnamon pretzels recipe is ADDICTING! The coconut oil adds an amazing sweetness to these pretzels, making the flavor even better. Seasoned pretzels are always a favorite of mine, but this recipe is definitely a new one I will be making regularly.
How to Make Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels Step by Step
- PREHEAT oven to 350 F.
- In a large bowl, mix together coconut oil, sugar and cinnamon.
- Tip: If you don’t have Coconut Oil you can totally use any oil that you have on hand. I use the coconut oil as much as I can in my cooking. It doesn’t leave a coconut taste like you may think 😉
- Stir in pretzel twists until incorporated.
- Spread pretzels evenly onto a large baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until mixture has dried.
- Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy your cinnamon sugar pretzels!
Instead of just telling you how to make these cinnamon sugar pretzels, I’ll also SHOW you! Scroll down to see my how-to video (that has been viewed by millions of people so far… these babies are pretty popular 😉 ).
How to Serve Cinnamon Pretzels
- They keep well for a few weeks. That means you can make a HUGE batch of them and enjoy them whenever you want!
- They make an awesome snack, straight out of the jar!
- Try them crushed and sprinkled on top of vanilla ice cream. This is SO good, especially with some Homemade Chocolate Syrup drizzled on top!
- They make a great Holiday Season gift. Make a bunch, gift a bunch.
- They’re also a great last-minute gift. They’re a great food gift any time of the year, not just during the holidays.

Sometimes being visual and sharing these recipes with you will help to inspire you and get you back into the kitchen. It’s a special time for my family and I during the day. When we are in the kitchen we are spending quality time together and creating those memories for the kiddos. Not to mention, I’m able to teach them life skills that will take them from their childhood to their children’s childhood! It’s the memories of the holidays and baking that I have the fondest memories of and I want to be able to pass that onto my children.
Watch me make them live…

How large is a bag of pretzels?
Cassie says
These look awesome, and easy (bonus)! Think I’m going to try it with almonds, too. Have you done that? I think using roasted/salted almonds would work….?
Marci says
Yes you can totally use nuts. I didn’t put them in simply because my kids don’t eat them!
Marci says
A normal size bag of pretzels. I’ll have to look next time I grab a bag at the size.
Marci says
Yay! Let me know how you like them Diane! They are ADDICTING!

Need recipe for cinnamon sugar pretzel
Marci says
Hi Marcy (nice name BTW, I’m MarcI!) – the recipe is above!
Jamie says
What oil would you suggest to replace coconut oil? My sister & niece are allergic to coconut. Other than that, they sound great.
Madeline says
These are very good, but next batch I’ll add mire cinnamon. BTW, i used a one pound bag of pretzels.
Reatha Nurrenbern says
Do you spray bar pan with cooking spray before putting pretzels on pan?
Marci says
I use the Pampered Chef Large Bar Pan which is stoneware. It doesn’t require to be sprayed. Also, because you are using the coconut oil the pretzels shouldn’t stick!
Marci says
You can use regular vegetable oil. Kelli cooks hers with that way. You can visit her site at —> https://www.freebiefindingmom.com/cinnamon-sugar-pretzel-recipe/
Ellen Pate says
Do you use regular (salted) pretzels?
Mark Womelduff says
A couple we know gave them away in a nice mason jar with a card for Christmas gift. Really nice gift and really taste good. I hope to find the recipe. Thank You.
Marci says
Yes!
Erin Murphy says
Does the coconut oil need to be melted to liquid state first?
Marci says
I do so that the sugar mixes in nicely.
Erin Murphy says
Thanks!
Cheryl says
It says 15 oz.
Linda Swee says
Would love to try these, but the video goes so fast, and does not give the amounts of oil, sugar or cinnamon that you’re supposed to use. Why aren’t the amounts given on the video? Also the recipe isn’t printed anywhere that I can see.
Marci says
The amounts are listed within the recipe Linda.
Stacey says
Have you tried a pinch of chili powder with this? Idk if it would add a lil zing as well?!
Marci says
You could Stacey. However, majority of the recipes on my site are kid friendly. I doubt my kiddos would enjoy these cinnamon pretzels with chili powder! You could also add a little cayenne if you wanted a little something extra!
Pam says
Sounds like a great snack for camping. Thought about using a mixture of white sugar and brown sugar. Thoughts?
Marci says
Give it a try! Let me know how it turns out.
Sam says
Don’t have Pure Cane Sugar regular white sugar fine? Also never used coconut oil before since it’s solid i measure the 3/4 cup melt it then Add the sugar/cinnamon or I melt then measure?
Marci says
Yes Pure cane is a more unrefined sugar. I measure my coconut oil melted.

Cindy Richter says
Marci! – my daughter loved these. I made them with the gluten free pretzels and half the coconut oil (because that’s all I had left) and they turned out perfect! Gluten free eaters don’t typically get yummy recipes so thank you very much. For posting this!
Marci says
YAY! So glad that she loved them! They are surely addicting!
Marci says
Hi Jane! It just depends on how much seasoning you want on the pretzels. I like to coat mine a lot so I use the 3/4 C Coconut Oil, 3/4 C Pure Cane Sugar, 3 TSP Cinnamon,
1 15 oz. Bag Pretzel Twists recipe! Hope that helps.
Lisa broomall says
They burn! One tray burned one was ok. Baked for 15 min only
Marci says
What are you using for the oil?
