Christmas Tree Pull Apart Bread

Servings 32 rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 cans crescent dough 8 ounces/8 crescent per can
  • 8 cheese sticks cut into fourths.
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon dry Basil you can use chives, parsley, or Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt regular salt can be used with a sprinkle of garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut each cheese stick into fourths. Set aside.
  • Open one can of crescent dough and separate all 8 crescents on a working surface.
  • Cut each crescent in half. So you should have 16 pieces.
  • Place 1 piece of a cut cheese stick on the wider part of the dough and roll towards the point.
  • Make sure the sides are close. Pinch the dough together. Set aside.
  • Repeat steps 4 to 7 with the second crescent can.
  • Once all your dough is rolled, you should have 32 balls.
  • Place each dough ball on the cookie sheet to recreate a tree, triangle shape with 4 dough balls to create the bottom of the tree.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the melted butter, dry Basil, and garlic salt together.
  • use a pastry brush and brush the seasoned butter over the dough.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until the dough is cooked and golden.
  • Cool for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Serve hot so the cheese is melty!
