Tater Tot Nachos

Tater tot nachos are a delicious appetizer or game day snack. These tatchos are topped with seasoned beef, cheese, tomatoes, and sour cream.

I have a weakness.

They are called TATER TOTS!

I look at Tater Tots like “What the hell can I put on you next?!”    {That’s the Anthony Bourdain in me coming through!}

I use tater tots for every meal possible. Tater tot breakfast potatoes, tater tot casserole, and now, tater tot nachos.

Tater Tot Nachos

These Tater Tot Nachos are delicious, game day only kinda appetizer that can be topped with your favorite ingredients. But, please — whatever you do TOP THEM WITH CHEESE!

You don’t really need the taco meat or anything fancy on top like guacamole. However, you need cheese and LOTS of it!

If your crowd goes for tomatoes, jalapenos, black olives, red onions, and sour cream by all means man throw them on these Tater Tot Nachos. We simply don’t discriminate here.

It’s all about what your family and friends enjoy on their tatchos. Wait. Tatchos?

Tatchos are just a fun word for Tater Tot Nachos!

Speaking of Nachos! If someone can bring me a fresh serving of the Nachos from The Yard House in downtown Cincinnati, I will be your BFF forever! Being on crutches right now kinda makes travel a bit long, treacherous and exhausting!

For these Tater Tot Nachos, or Tatchos, I kept things super simple.

• Tater Tots
• taco meat
• salsa
• cheese and
• sour cream

Feel free to add anything your family enjoys. Black olives, guacamole, onions, salsa, etc.

Ingredients

• ▢ Bag of Tater Tots
• ▢ 1 C Shredded Cheese
• ▢ 4 TBSP Salsa
• ▢ 1 lb. Hamburger
• ▢ 1 C Taco Sauce|[https://myheavenlyrecipes.com/homemade-taco-sauce/|
• ▢ Sour Cream to taste

Instructions

• Preheat your oven and cook Tater Tots spread out evenly on a baking sheet according to package.
• While Tater Tots are cooking prepare your hamburger.
• Drain Hamburger.
• Add in Taco Sauce, stir.
• On a large serving plate place tater tots, top with hamburger mixture and cheese. Place in microwave for 15-30 seconds to melt cheese.
• Top with sour cream.
• Enjoy!
