Recipe for Borax Ant Killer
I always had an ant issue in my house until I learned of the borax maple syrup method! If you don’t want to waste syrup, try my sugar substitute instead. Definitely use the cheap corn syrup brands for this, ha! All I had was my Costco organic one at the time of this post 😉
This works great for a ratio of 3:1 portions (maple syrup: borax). If you use too much of the borax the ant will die. The goal of this is to get the ants to carry back the mixture to the ant colony and kill them all!
Please make sure this gets put up high or closed off to any pets or animals you have in your house! Also, wash your hands and utensils after you mix it up to be safe.
Borax Ant Killer

- 1 TBSP maple syrup
- 1 tsp Borax detergent booster
Instructions
- Get a paper plate or a piece of parchment paper then pour the maple syrup in the middle.
- Add in the teaspoon of borax and mix with a spoon until completely dissolved.
- Put it near the ants.
Notes
Keep away from pets and animals! If you want to make a bigger batch use a 3:1 ratio (syrup: borax)
