What you’ll need to make Apple Snack Cake:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup apple, chopped
Cinnamon Topping
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Glaze
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2-4 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla – granulated sugar and cinnamon
How to make Apple Snack Cake:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9×9 baking pan with non-stick spray or line with foil for easy removal (spray the foil with non-stick spray).
Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar and the granulated sugar.
Add in the egg and vanilla, and then mix until combined.
Slowly mix in the flour mixture until all combined. Fold in the apples.
Spread the mixture into your prepared pan.
In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon topping.
Sprinkle over the top of the batter.
