Supplies You’ll Need to Make a Unicorn Craft Plate
As I mentioned, you can pick all of these up at your local dollar store. (And some you’ll probably already have on hand!)
- White Paper Plates
- Gold Sparkle Paper
- Pink Sparkle Paper
- Black Sharpie
- Glue
- Scissors
- Fake Flowers (grab a variety of colors and let kids get creative!)
How to Make a Unicorn Craft Plate – Step by Step
Take a paper plate and cut out two large unicorn ears. You can also use plain white paper.
Take your pink sparkle paper and cut out the pink sections of the unicorn ears. Just make sure the pink section is half the size of the white section so when you glue it onto the white section, you can still see white!
Take some of your leftover pink sparkle paper and cut out two small circles for cheeks.
Take your gold sparkle paper and cut yourself a large unicorn horn.
Glue the pink section of paper you cut out onto the white section.
Then glue your unicorn horn and ears onto the white paper plate.
After your unicorn horn and ears have dried, it’s time to glue on your flowers. I suggest laying your flowers out beforehand to figure out the perfect spacing. You don’t want too many flowers in one spot or even worse, to run out of flowers before you have covered the plate.
Next, you will want to draw on those eyes and eyelashes! I suggest taking a blank piece of paper and practicing beforehand. Sharpies are permanent, so you only get one shot!
Once you have completed the eyes, glue on those pink cheeks!
Ta-da! You now have an adorable Unicorn Craft Plate. Definitely the most mystical paper plate anyone will ever lay eyes on and a craft worthy of hanging on that refrigerator.
