This Unicorn Pencil Case craft is super cute and super fun to make! It’s a great kid-friendly craft that can be made with just a few simple supplies.
Are y’all ready for the cutest craft ever? This felt Unicorn Pencil Case might be a “kid-friendly craft” but I admit I made one for myself. Yep, I made a Unicorn Pencil Case, LOVE it, and have no shame! I don’t think I’m alone in this. I sent a photo of the finished pencil case to a few of my girlfriends and there was a flurry of “OMG, I have to make that!” messages going on. No mention of kids. Just “I need that in my life!”
It’s a perfect craft for kids too, of course. Whether you do this craft at a unicorn-themed birthday party or just as a way to keep a gaggle of kids entertained on a rainy Sunday afternoon, everyone will love making a Unicorn Pencil Case!
Note that the colors in the final case shown here are just a suggestion. You can offer all sorts of fabric colors so kids can make their Unicorn Pencil Case uniquely their own.

Unicorn Pencil Case Instructions
Step (1)
Print and cut out patterns from the Unicorn Pencil Case Template. Trace the patterns on the selected felt fabrics and cut them out nicely. The template includes:
- 2 inner ear parts
- 2 outer ear parts
- 2 sleepy eyes
- 1 lip
- 2 blush (the circles)
- 3 hair parts
- 2 parts for the horn
Step (2)
Prepare the rectangular piece into your required size. Place it on a flat surface.
Step (3)
Fold and glue the 2 sides (width) of the rectangular piece using the hot glue gun.
Step (4)
Glue the inner parts on the outer ear parts and also glue the horn piece cut out from the golden fabric on the felt cut out horn part.
Step (5)
Glue the ears and the horn with the main piece from step 2. Glue them on the opposite side of the fold created along the width of the rectangular piece; ears on both sides and the horn in the middle.
Step (6)
Now fold the rectangular piece into half lengthwise and make sure that both sides (width) match.
Step (7)
Now glue the hair parts from any one side; mine were cut out for the right side, but you can cut them for the left side as well.
Step (8)
Now attach the other items on the pencil case one by one. And finally, attach the press buttons along the inner fold of the open end of the case. You can also attach a zipper; in that case you’ll have to glue the zipper along the folded ends of the rectangular piece in step 2.
Your Unicorn Pencil Case is done! Mix and match different colored felt fabrics for more variation.
