How to Make Whipped Hot Cocoa

You will love this Whipped Hot Chocolate! It’s easier to make than it looks and the whipped chocolate is so fluffy! If you’re a fan of whipped coffee and are trying to find a similar drink to share with your kids, this is it.


- How do I save leftovers?
- If saving leftovers, make sure to save the whipped cocoa separate from the milk. Save the whipped cocoa in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days. You may need to re-whip it when needed if it deflates too much for your liking.
- Can I use hot chocolate instead of warmed milk to make it even more of a chocolate flavor?
- Of course! You can use regular hot cocoa as a base, chocolate milk, plain milk, or even strawberry milk. Just make sure it’s warm.
- Can I use other flavors of hot chocolate?
- Yes, just be sure that the cocoa mix does not have marshmallows or any other weird ingredients in it, it should just be the powder.
- Can I use the whipped cocoa on top of other desserts?
- Of course! Add to the top of milkshakes, coffee, ice cream, and more! Anything that would taste good with whipped cream and chocolate.
- What does the whipped cocoa part of this recipe taste like?
- It tastes chocolatey, fluffy, and smooth. It tastes like homemade whipped cream, but chocolatey.



Whipped Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
- 1 packet Hot Cocoa Mix
- ¼ cup Powdered Sugar
- ⅔ cup Heavy Cream
- 1 ½ cups Whole Milk warm
Optional Toppings
- Marshmallows
- Sprinkles
Instructions
- In your large bowl, beat together the cocoa mix, sugar and cream until it forms peaks and starts looking like a thick whipped cream.
- Warm the milk on the stove or in the microwave in microwave safe mugs.
- While the milk is warming up, add the chocolate mixture to your piping bag.
- Once the milk is warm, pipe the chocolate mixture on top of the warmed milk.
- Add marshmallows, sprinkles, or other desired toppings, and enjoy!
Notes
We use plain Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa mix from Swiss Miss for this recipe, without the marshmallows.
