This slow cooker green beans recipe is made more times throughout the year than I care to admit. But, they are so easy to make!
There are very few recipes that my Husband creates. When he is in the mood to cook, he will and he often comes up with delicious recipes.
I honestly don’t know why he doesn’t cook more, but, when I had my foot surgery he made do….maybe I should be on bed rest more often. Anyway, this Slow Cooker Green Beans recipe is all him. He takes 100% credit for this baby.

But, I wanted to get them to you because so many of my friends and family have asked for the recipe as I posted it on my personal timeline a few weeks ago.
This recipe is really pretty simple. You can omit any of the ingredients your family doesn’t like….for instance, onions! But, this is one of those recipes that the KIDS love to help create and love to eat…as long as there is bacon in it, my kids are happy to try anything! Asparagus included.
Now if you don’t have the Casserole Crock-Pot, I would suggest purchasing it. Often times, it’s cheaper on Amazon than the stores, and you don’t have to deal with people. I honestly never thought I’d use the Casserole version, because I am devoted to my 70’s one that is near and dear to my heart.
However, I feel like this Casserole Crock-Pot is great for things like this Slow Cooker Green Bean recipe, Lil Smokies, and even desserts (more on that later).

I’d have to say our families favorite Crock-Pot recipe is Chicken Over Rice. It’s one that I have been eating since I was a little girl, the recipe is requested after the kiddos have been sick, and it’s made as a tradition for each of our family members birthday! So it’s definitely one that is made pretty often!

Slow Cooker Green Beans
- 3 lbs. green beans washed and trimmed
- 4 slices bacon diced
- 2-3 TBSP garlic minced
- 1 medium onion diced
- salt & pepper to taste
- 3-4 TBSP Olive oil
- Dump all the ingredients into the Crock-Pot.
- Using tongs toss everything together.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Serve warm.
