If you’ve been around MyHeavenlyRecipes.com for the past year you’ll know tat our family enjoys camping (almost) every wekeend from Memorial Day until Halloween. It’s a great way for us to connect as a family and disconnect from our busy lives, electronics and the chaos that is amongst us during the work week.
Now while I do have a camper to cook it it’s more often than not that I’ll prepare the vast majority of our meals at home {propane ain’t cheap y’all!}. Not to mention when we are at camp we are seriously so busy that I hardly have time to cook. If you are going to be tent packing you can make a lot of these meals over the fire and recommend packing a large cast iron skillet with you to place over a flame.
